Hamsa or the Hand of Fatima centers this red table runner by Miguel Hernndez. Featuring beige contours, the runner includes a lamb and an eye. In Jewish and Muslim traditions, Fatima or Miriam’s hand is regarded as a good luck amulet and protector from wrath, catastrophe and jealousy. Hernndez weaves the cotton table runner on a pedal loom featuring bands of concentric diamonds, his family’s trademark pattern, in light and darker shades of brown, as well as red, black, caramel and white.
