Hojiakbar Vohidov’s exquisite jewelry box draws its inspiration from the esteemed craftsmanship of Uzbekistan’s lacquer miniature painting. The lined papier mache box is coated with lacquer and adorned with delicate floral and leaf motifs hand-painted using a harmonious blend of acrylics, watercolors and tempera paints in vibrant shades. A symphony of colors and textures dances under the lustrous embrace of multiple additional layers of lacquer, not only enhancing its resilience but also bestowing it with a mesmerizing radiance.
