Keep little treasures like wallet-sized photos, lapel pins or precious coins in this small decorative box. Crafting this small box from pinewood in her workshop in La Palma, El Salvadoran artisan Maria Estela Perlera de Portillo continues her dedication to creating handmade wooden products as she has been for more than two decades, driven to create more employment for her community. Inspired by the beauty of El Salvador’s nature, Maria varnishes the pinewood to give it a light coffee note and paints a flying bird and a colorful flower on the lid to finish this box.
